United Way of Muscatine's Educate United Affinity Group is looking for Math Mentor Volunteers who will come in to Jefferson Elementary School one time per week during a 30 minute math block and work 4th graders on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis. The children will rotate so volunteers will see all or a good portion of the kids in their assigned class each time. The Math Mentors will work with kids on math problems using flash cards or other materials provided by the school. We ask that volunteers commit to helping for the duration of the school year.
Volunteers are needed during the following times. Volunteers can choose the day of the week (M-F) that works best for them.
Math Mentors:
1 volunteer for 8:30-9:00
1 volunteer for 10:55-11:20
1 volunteer for 1:15-1:45
