Formed in 2020, The Friends of The Fairport Fish hatchery support outreach and education done by the local DNR staff. They do that by fundraising to improve the site with trail systems and interpretive signage as well as an educational pavilion full of information about the history of the property. They continually bring on board volunteers to expand capacity to serve area Youth as well as a variety of adult visitors with varying interests.h
What We Do
Ongoing work interpreting the historical significance of the site.
DNR staff and volunteers are available for groups to learn topics related to the Environment as well as game fish production. This includes working with many volunteer of a variety of skills and expertise.
